Give a thought about your thoughts!

Let your own voice be heard

Ever wondered why most of us have always given so little credibility to ourselves for being responsible for our own thoughts? Being an overthinker by nature, one can understand the cons that come with it. Any thought, be it good or bad, somehow tends to undergo a lot of analysis in that small little brain of ours. What we do not realize is — Does it really do any good to the current situation? Does it help one grow and learn something valuable? Does it justify the amount of time spent on it? If the answer is a yes, you are on the right track.

If everything I am ever going to be concerned about is what people think of me — Do they value me for who I am or do I have to change myself to become more loveable, when am I going to think about myself and accept my true being? You don’t have to seek validation elsewhere when you are content with the fact that no matter what, you are true to your conscience at the end of the day.

Value your own ability

The lockdown period has been such a blessing to reflect on these important things. I see myself as a much better analyzer of situations these days than I was a year ago. With mental health being one of the global discussions during this time, I realized why it is so important to nurture our thoughts to bring the best in us than making us sulk over uninvited mishappenings for a long time. The ability to see things differently and count more positives than negatives about an unpleasant situation is a true blessing that I will never stop working on. There is so much peace, positivity, kindness, love, and acceptance that comes with it.

Allow the right bulb to glow

Let’s not disregard the possibility that we might come across weakening situations holding proficiency to shake us and our foundation from within. Tough times show us our ability to overcome, our strength, and our perseverance. As long as we are going to believe that these traits are growing stronger in us every time we face a difficult situation, let us invite a crash with grace and conquer it with all that we have. You must be wondering that it’s easier said than done. Agreed! But, I am not going to stop pushing myself harder every time I am on the verge of taking a fall. You and I, we are way stronger than we think :)
